The Sea Dog Retreat

This cottage sits above the harbour in Brixham, arranged over three floors and set up for six guests across three bedrooms. The first floor holds a king-size room with its own smart TV, while the top floor has a double and a twin bedroom, sharing the property's single bathroom, which has a shower over bath, WC and wash basin.

The kitchen is contemporary and well equipped, with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, electric oven, halogen hob and microwave. A separate dining room seats six and looks out through French doors onto the patio, which has a bistro table and chairs and is enclosed. The lounge has a corner sofa and a 50-inch smart TV with DVD player, and a Bluetooth speaker and board games are provided for evenings in.

From the first floor, a balcony overlooks the harbour and is furnished with garden seating, a good spot for a meal or a drink as the day winds down. Wi-Fi is available throughout, and a travel cot and highchair are provided, though the cottage is not suitable for children under two. Being spread over three floors, it involves a fair number of stairs, and some of the surrounding streets and amenities in Brixham are reached via steps.

One dog is welcome, with an additional charge, but dogs are not permitted upstairs. A parking permit for one car is included, valid at a spot with a 6ft 6in height restriction around a ten-minute walk away, and road parking is also available a couple of minutes from the property. Electric vehicle charging cannot be arranged at the cottage itself, but is available at Brixham Marina for an extra fee, using the same parking permit.
