The Reach

The Reach is a semi-detached cottage in Hallsands, a small fishing village on the South Hams coast near Start Point, with Bickerton the nearest place on our map. Around 40 stone steps lead up from the parking area to the entrance, so it suits guests who can manage stairs, and a pair of French doors opens straight into an open-plan living area with oak flooring.

The cottage sleeps 2 in a single upstairs bedroom with a double bed and sea views, next to a shower room with shower, basin and WC. Downstairs, the open-plan space combines a galley kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area, and a stone terrace at the front has seating and a table looking out over the coastline.

The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine, and electric central heating covers the cottage, with fuel and power included in the rent. A TV and WiFi are provided, and allocated parking for two cars is available in a roped-off area near the property. The nearest shop is around 3.9 miles away and the nearest pub about 3.5 miles.

Pets are welcome at The Reach (confirm how many when booking); children and dogs should be supervised near the cliff edge close to the property. The South West Coast Path runs directly in front of the cottage, and smoking is not permitted inside. Guests should bring their own beach towels, and mobile coverage in Hallsands can be patchy on some networks.
