5 Prospect House

5 Prospect House is a first-floor apartment in Hallsands, near Bickerton, set in an elevated position above the ruins of the old fishing village of South Hallsands. Sweeping sea views run from Start Point lighthouse across to Dartmouth from the open-plan kitchen, sitting and dining room, and the balcony doors and windows have recently been refurbished.

The apartment sleeps 4 across two bedrooms: a king-size master with an en-suite bathroom and a powerful shower, and a twin room with rural views. A second bathroom has a bath and shower, and the dining area seats four, while the sitting area has a four-seater corner sofa and two rattan chairs.

The kitchen is fitted with an induction hob, electric oven, a 2024 fridge freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine and microwave. The sitting area has a 43-inch QLED TV, a Nintendo Wii and a Naim Mu-So wireless music system, and the bedroom has its own Amazon Fire TV, alongside upgraded wireless broadband. Gas central heating covers the apartment.

Guests share access to landscaped gardens and a terrace, an outdoor heated swimming pool open from Whitsun week to mid-September, and a tennis court. One allocated parking space is provided, with visitor bays within 50 metres. A cot and highchair are available for younger guests, no pets are permitted, children should be supervised near the cliff edge, and Sunday changeovers cannot be accommodated.
