The Old Log Shed

The Old Log Shed sits at the end of a private, tree-lined drive in the East Devon countryside, about three and a half miles from Honiton. Converted from a former stable, the cottage sleeps 4 across two bedrooms and is described as best suited to a maximum of 3 adults.

The ground floor holds a shower room, a kitchen with granite worktops and a dishwasher, and a dining area, plus a sitting room warmed by a wood burner. Two sets of bi-fold doors open from the sitting room onto the garden, connecting the indoor and outdoor space. A TV with WiFi covers evenings in, and a microwave and fridge-freezer round out the kitchen.

Upstairs, a king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom share a bathroom lit by a Velux window, both looking out over the garden below.

Outside, the private enclosed garden has a level lawn, a croquet set, a swing and a suntrap terrace with dining furniture and a barbecue. Guests can also use the owners' all-weather tennis court, bringing their own racquets and balls. The Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty surrounds the cottage, with trails through ancient woodland and along the River Otter close by.

Off-road parking is provided for up to 4 cars, and the laundry and drying room are shared with the owners. A cot and highchair are available on request, no pets are allowed, and the cottage is no smoking throughout. Short breaks, like all bookings, must start on a Friday.
