The Old Coach Cottage

Set on the edge of Exmoor National Park about four miles from South Molton, this three-bedroom cottage sleeps six guests. External steps lead up to the first floor, where an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area forms the heart of the property. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge and freezer. In the lounge, sofas face a Smart TV and a wood burner, with a first basket of logs included.

The king-size bedroom sits on this same floor, with its own en-suite directly next door fitted with a shower over bath and WC. Two further bedrooms are reached by two flights of stairs and share a family bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC. One room has zip-and-link twin beds convertible to a super-king on request; the other is a bunk room suited to younger guests. A highchair, travel cot, stairgate, bed guard and booster seat are all available on request.

French doors from the lounge open onto a private furnished patio with a table and chairs for eating outside, plus a private hot tub. A path leads down to a shared lawn with a children's playground. The cottage is one of eight on a complex sharing access to a petting farm with animal feeding and donkey rides, a games room, and treatment rooms offering holistic spa therapies. The complex has pursued training and accreditation to support families with children who have complex or misunderstood needs, and describes itself as autism and dementia friendly.

Private parking is provided for two cars. No dogs are permitted. The nearest shop is around one mile away and the nearest pub approximately 3.5 miles. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00.
