The Milking Shippon at Thorne

The Milking Shippon at Thorne is a converted farm building near Langtree, close to Great Torrington in North Devon. Four steps lead from the parking area up to the front door, though guests can also cross the grass to avoid them, and the owners live on site in the main farmhouse. The property sleeps 6 across three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The king-size bedroom has its own en-suite with basin and WC. A family room holds a super king-size bed that can be split into twins on request, plus a single bed, ideal for a mixed group. The third bedroom, a single, sits on the ground floor next to a ground-floor shower room with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Upstairs, a family bathroom has both a bath and a separate walk-in shower.

The kitchen/diner is fitted with a double electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Oil central heating covers the house, with fuel and power included in the rent, and a separate room with a Smart TV gives extra space to spread out. WiFi runs throughout on fibre broadband.

Outside, an enclosed west-facing rear lawn has furniture and a bench, and an enclosed front patio adds more seating. Guests also have access to a field of over an acre next to the property. Off-road parking covers 2 cars. The Milking Shippon does not accept pets, and smoking is not permitted inside.
