The Hide

The Hide is a ground-floor cottage attached to the owner's home on the edge of West Down, a quiet North Devon village with a traditional pub and community shop within easy reach. Sleeping two adults, the property sits in a wildlife-rich setting close to the North Devon coast. Children are not accepted and dogs are not permitted.

The kitchen features wooden beamed ceilings, oak flooring and a U-shaped fitted layout equipped with an oven, hob, grill, microwave and a DeLonghi Gusto Coffee Machine. A washer-dryer is also included. The open-plan lounge and dining area has a large corner sofa and dining table, while a conservatory with rattan seating looks out over the garden. The double bedroom has a smart TV, and the bathroom provides a walk-in Mira electric shower and WC.

A wood burner adds warmth to the living space. Outside, a south-west facing patio catches sun throughout the day and has outdoor furniture for al-fresco dining. The lawned garden includes a Koi carp pond. Private parking is available for one car. CCTV covers the driveway, lane, owner's external doors and all lawned and pond areas, though cameras are positioned to exclude the cottage doorway, windows and private patio, and no cameras are placed inside the property.

Beach towels are not provided, so pack your own before travelling. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
