The Great Escape Ashwater

This single-storey lodge near Ashwater sleeps four across two bedrooms: a double with en-suite shower room and WC, and a twin room served by a family shower room. Oil underfloor heating runs throughout the whole property. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply, and they must be kept on a lead in the open grounds due to livestock.

You enter directly into the kitchen, fitted with built-in electric ovens and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, and a washing machine. The lounge-diner has a Smart TV, DVD player, DAB radio, and a selection of books, games and puzzles. Patio doors open onto an enclosed decked balcony with a rattan corner sofa and cushions, looking out over rolling countryside. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Outside, the lodge sits within a large lawn, and guests have access to three acres of grounds that include a small woodland area. A dedicated dog paddock lets your dogs exercise off lead. A BBQ is available on request, and private off-road parking accommodates up to two cars.

The village shop and pub are four miles away. Roadford Reservoir, with its range of water-based activities, sits around four miles from the lodge, and the coastal town of Bude is approximately twenty miles away, with beaches, local shops and eateries.
