The Gem

This reverse-level house sits on the outskirts of Appledore, a short walk from the quayside. It sleeps up to 10 guests across five bedrooms, making it suited to large families or groups travelling together.

Four bedrooms are arranged on the ground floor: a king-size and a double, each with their own en-suite shower room, plus two twin rooms sharing a family shower room. The king-size room opens through French doors onto the patio and hot tub. A super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite wet room occupies the first floor, alongside the main living space. The ground floor also has a utility area and access to a garage fitted with a pool table and darts board, along with storage for bikes and surfboards.

Upstairs, an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area is fitted with a wood burner (a first basket of logs is included) and a Smart TV, and opens onto a first-floor balcony with sun loungers overlooking the river. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and coffee pod machine, with a washing machine and tumble dryer kept in the utility area.

Outside, a front patio has outdoor furniture, a private hot tub and a sauna, while an enclosed rear garden offers a lawn, summer house, further patio seating and a barbecue. Parking for five cars is available on the driveway, with electric vehicle charging on site. Up to four dogs can stay, with additional charges possibly applying. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
