This split-level house sits on the edge of Appledore, with the village's quayside, cafes and shops within a mile. Sea or garden views reach into every one of the five bedrooms, and the open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner benefits from the same far-reaching outlook through bi-fold doors onto the patio.

Three bedrooms are on the ground floor: a king-size with en-suite shower room, a double and a twin, served by a family bathroom. Five steps lead down from the main living space to this floor, so it is worth bearing in mind for anyone unsteady on stairs. Upstairs, reached by a second staircase, the super-king master has an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate shower, plus an adjoining nursery fitted with a cot accessed via a few steps. A further king-size bedroom has its own en-suite shower room.

The kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, gas hob and warming drawer, and a utility area in the garage houses a combined washing machine and tumble dryer. A wood burner warms the lounge, though logs are not supplied and need to be bought locally. Downstairs in the garage, a games room with a pool table and dart board sits alongside a separate playroom, useful for keeping younger visitors occupied on a wet afternoon. A highchair and stairgate are also available alongside the cot.

Outside, a tiered garden is enclosed and includes a furnished patio, decking and a lawn for children to run around on. Private parking is provided for up to four large cars, and internet access is included. Up to four dogs can stay, with an additional charge applying. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am.
