12 Alpha Place

12 Alpha Place stands near the River Torridge in Appledore, a cottage arranged over three floors that sleeps 8 across four bedrooms and two bathrooms. A cobbled path leads to the front door, and inside, the sitting room holds a wood-burning stove and a Smart TV, a fixed point for evenings after exploring the quayside village.

The galley kitchen is fitted with a gas hob and a dishwasher, and the adjoining dining room seats eight guests at the table, with French doors opening onto the garden. Roadside parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a public car park nearby for busier days.

Upstairs, the first floor holds a king-size bedroom with estuary views and a double bunk room, along with the main bathroom, fitted with a bath and a walk-in shower. A further flight of stairs leads to the second floor, where two more double bedrooms sit tucked into the eaves, one with estuary views and the other with its own en-suite shower room, basin and WC.

Outside, the enclosed rear garden has a patio, a lawn, a firepit and a barbecue, a spot for evenings once the day trips are done. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and the cottage is no smoking throughout. Bookings run Friday to Friday only during July and August, with a minimum stay of 5 nights over Christmas and 3 nights over New Year.
