The Fernery

The Fernery is a three-bedroom cottage in Colyton with a separate Garden Studio and Courtyard Room, together sleeping up to 10 guests. The main house has a farmhouse kitchen, family dining room, a sitting room with a feature fireplace and a separate snug with a flame-effect gas fire, plus three bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite walk-in shower, a further king-size, and a twin, served by a family bathroom with a bath and shower over.

The Garden Studio is a single-storey lodge in the grounds with a king-size bed and an additional sofa bed, sleeping up to 4, along with its own kitchen and a bathroom with a bath and shower over. A decked veranda wraps around the front and side for outdoor dining. The Courtyard Room is a separate studio sleeping 2 with a double bed, its own dining table and TV, and an adjoining bathroom with a small corner bath, shower enclosure, WC and basin.

Outside, a courtyard seating area leads to a garden with mature shrubs, borders, fruit trees, a vegetable plot, a small pond and a children's play area; younger children should be supervised near the pond. Highchair and travel cot are available, and the main house and Garden Studio each have their own WiFi, washing machine and dishwasher; the Courtyard Room has a TV and a small fridge.

The property has space for one small car up a narrow drive only 63 inches wide with tight turning, used at guests' own risk; a car park and free on-street parking are also usually available nearby in the village. The Fernery does not accept pets, and smoking is not permitted.
