The Cider House

The Cider House is a barn conversion in the countryside near Dalwood, within the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a traditional pub and a general store within walking distance. The property sleeps 4 across two bedrooms and one bathroom, with a separate cloakroom on the ground floor.

The ground-floor bedroom has a king-size zip-link bed that can be made up as twins on request, plus a walk-in shower room next door. A double bedroom completes the sleeping space. An open-plan living area brings together the sitting room and dining area, with stone flooring and patio doors opening onto the garden.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, grill and hob, a microwave, a fridge with an ice box, and a washing machine, and a Smart TV with WiFi covers evenings in. Oil central heating keeps the barn warm, with fuel and power, bed linen and towels all included in the rent.

The Cider House takes two well-behaved dogs. Shared gardens have lawns, a gravelled patio, a barbecue and furniture, though they are not enclosed and a stream and pond sit at the bottom, so supervision is worth keeping in mind for children and dogs. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and the village shop and pub in Dalwood are both within a mile. From the end of July 2027 through August, bookings run week-long only with a Saturday changeover. Smoking is not permitted.
