Swallows Cottage

Swallows Cottage has been converted from an ancient threshing barn, facing away from the main farmhouse, near Honiton. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, and can be booked together with the neighbouring Whitcombe Cottage for larger groups sharing the same courtyard.

The ground-floor sitting room is built around a wood burner, with a dining area and French windows that open onto a sunny patio. There's also a well-equipped kitchen for preparing fresh, locally sourced ingredients, a separate utility area with extra appliances, and a ground-floor WC.

Upstairs, the two bedrooms, a king-size double and a twin, share a family bathroom. A child's single folding bed can be added to the king-size room on request, and a cot and highchair are available too.

Outside, outdoor furniture and a barbecue sit on the patio for warm evenings, and a small lawn across a quiet farm track has fine views over the surrounding countryside. Off-road parking is provided for up to 2 cars, and two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay.

The cottage is no smoking throughout, stag and hen parties are not accepted, and bookings starting on a day other than the standard Friday changeover need to be confirmed in advance with the property owner.
