Sunshine Cottage

Sunshine Cottage is a character terraced cottage on a slipway down to Back Beach in Teignmouth, and was once a fisherman's cottage. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms and one ground-floor shower room, with a sitting room that has a foldaway dining table for meals in.

The double bedroom has a bay window looking over the harbour and up the River Teign, while the second bedroom holds bunks large enough for adults, ideal for children though the top bunk is for those over six only. The ground-floor shower room has a shower, basin and WC. The galley kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, and electric convector heaters provide the heating.

A small enclosed courtyard garden has steps up to a decked area with furniture and harbour views, a good spot for breakfast in the sun. Internal stairs and the stairs to the decked area are steep, so the cottage isn't suitable for elderly guests or those with limited mobility.

There's no off-road parking. Loading and unloading is possible right outside, and pay and display parking is available in a public car park 5 minutes' walk away, with a weekly permit available from the Tourist Information Centre for a fee. Shops and pubs are 2 minutes' walk away and the beach is 1 minute away. No pets are allowed and the cottage is no smoking throughout.
