Stable Cottage

Stable Cottage is part of Lincombe House Cottages, a converted 17th-century farmhouse group about 2 miles from Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast. Once part of the working farmhouse, the cottage has its own sitting room with a wall-mounted electric fire, and a fitted kitchen opens towards the shared rear garden for simple holiday meals.

Upstairs, a double bedroom with a basin sits alongside a family room with adult bunks and a single bed, also with its own basin, so the cottage sleeps 5. A ground-floor shower room with a shower, basin and WC completes the layout. Oil central heating and the electric fire keep the rooms warm, and the kitchen has an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave and a fridge/freezer.

The shared garden is lawned and enclosed, with a trampoline, lawn games and a barbecue, and a shared external games room has a pool table, table tennis, table football and darts, useful on a wet North Devon afternoon. A cot, highchair, stairgate and baby bath are available on request, and there's off-road parking for 1 car. A Smart TV, WiFi and a selection of books, DVDs and games are provided indoors.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. The cottage takes a minimum stay of 3 nights, and towels and bed linen are not supplied, so bring your own. Newspaper and grocery deliveries can be arranged directly with the owner, hen, stag and similar parties are not accepted, and smoking is not permitted. A shop is 2 miles away and the pub is a 10-minute walk.
