65 Channel View

65 Channel View is a single-storey cottage on the outskirts of Ilfracombe, reached down a short flight of steps from the roadside parking. Inside, an open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining area and sitting room, with two TVs and WiFi for evenings in. The cottage sleeps 5 across three bedrooms and one bathroom, and bookings run to a minimum of three nights.

A rear garden is laid out over several levels, with a lawn, a decked terrace and a private hot tub, reached down a further flight of steps. A front garden with its own lawn adds extra outdoor space at the front of the cottage. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.

All three bedrooms sit on the ground floor: a super-king room that can be split into twin beds on request, a king-size room and a single. The one bathroom has a bath, a walk-in shower, a heated towel rail and a basin. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a washing machine and a dishwasher, plus a small selection of games for evenings in.

One well-behaved dog is welcome at 65 Channel View. Off-road parking is provided for one car, and the shop, pub and beach are all under a mile away. Smoking is not permitted inside, and the steps down to both the front door and the rear garden are worth planning around for anyone unsteady on their feet.
