South Street Farm

This holiday home sits in the centre of Braunton, a North Devon village with shops and eateries within walking distance, and a shop and pub just 150 metres away. It sleeps six across three bedrooms and offers open-plan living with a wood burner for cooler evenings, making it a practical base for a family or group wanting easy access to the coast.

Inside, the lounge, kitchen and diner form one open-plan space with exposed stonework alongside a more modern finish. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and there's a TV with Freeview and DVD player plus an iPod docking station in the living area. A separate ground-floor WC adds convenience for daytime use. Upstairs, low, sloping ceilings run along the first floor, where the king-size room has its own TV, alongside a double and a twin. Two bathrooms serve the property: one with a freestanding bath and WC, and a shower room with a further WC.

Outside, an enclosed courtyard garden comes with garden furniture, suited to breakfasts, lunches or evening drinks in fine weather. There's storage for bikes and surfboards, useful given the proximity to the coast, and private parking for two cars is provided on site along with an electric vehicle charging point (guests need to bring their own cable).

A travel cot (without mattress) and highchair are available for younger guests, and beach towels are not supplied, so pack your own. Dogs are not permitted at this property. Arrival is from 17:00 and departure before 10:00.
