Seaspray (Bigbury-on-Sea)

Seaspray is a single-storey holiday home above Challaborough, a short walk down the hill from the sandy beaches of Bigbury and Bantham, though the property itself sits in Bigbury-on-Sea. All the rooms, including the four bedrooms and both bathrooms, are on one floor, set in a private, mature garden.

The living room has two sofas, an armchair and a feature slate hearth with a wood-burning stove, opening through an archway into a glazed conservatory dining area with sea views. Two of the four bedrooms have king-size beds, one with French doors to the terrace, a twin room has two single beds, and a small fourth bedroom for children only holds a set of bunk beds. A travel cot and highchair are provided.

The kitchen and utility room are well equipped, and a shower room and a family bathroom with a bath serve the house. Outside, two stone terraces with table and chairs sit alongside a mature lawned garden, and a barbecue is available. Off-road parking on a private drive takes two cars.

Seaspray sleeps 8, but for comfort the accommodation is available for a maximum of six adults. No pets are permitted, and there is a short walk down the hill to reach the beach, worth planning around for anyone in the group who finds hills difficult. Smoking is not permitted inside.
