Seagulls Rest

Seagulls Rest sits close to the centre of Brixham, the South Devon harbour town on the western edge of Torbay. Sleeping four across two bedrooms, the cottage is arranged over several floors linked by a steep, winding staircase, which the owners note makes it unsuitable for under-fives or guests with reduced mobility.

On entering, guests find a lounge with comfortable seating, TV, DVD player and Netflix access, set against an exposed stone wall. The stairs lead down to a lower-ground-floor kitchen/diner fitted with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, wine fridge, slimline dishwasher and washing machine, with a dining table for four beside a stable door opening onto the garden. The kitchen has a low ceiling with some reduced head-height in places.

Upstairs, the first floor holds the master double bedroom with its own TV and fitted wardrobe, while the twin bedroom occupies the second floor alongside the main bathroom, which has a shower-over-bath and WC.

Outside is a small, enclosed patio to the rear, bordered by plants and offering a private spot to sit. A parking permit for one car is provided for use in a nearby Church car park, though restrictions apply on Sundays and the permit does not cover vans or larger vehicles. Wi-fi is included, and one dog is welcome to stay, with additional charges applying. Brixham's seafront, a pub and local shops are all within walking distance, though the town itself is built on a steep hill and many routes involve steps.
