Sea Spray Appledore

Sea Spray sits on one of Appledore's prestigious streets, right in the centre of the village and a level walk from its pubs, cafes and galleries. This end-of-terrace cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms arranged over three floors, with an arched window on the stairs framing a view across the estuary as you climb.

The first floor holds a king-size bedroom with estuary and sea views and its own en-suite shower room, alongside a second double bedroom. A family bathroom on this floor has a separate shower and WC. A further staircase leads up to the second floor, where the third bedroom offers a double zip-and-link bed that can be split into twins on request, again with estuary views. Downstairs, past the kitchen, there is an additional separate WC.

The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The open-plan lounge and diner has a wood burner with the first basket of logs included, comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and a dining table large enough for the whole party to eat together. A stairgate, travel cot and highchair are available for families travelling with young children.

Outside, a small south-facing courtyard has space to park one small car, measuring up to around three metres long, so it suits compact vehicles rather than larger cars. An outside tap and hose are handy for rinsing off sand or muddy paws before heading in. One dog is welcome by arrangement, with an additional charge, and the beach, surf school and nature reserve are around two miles away, with shops, pubs and restaurants under a mile from the door.
