Rock View Cottage

Rock View Cottage is a detached, single-storey stone cottage about two miles from Gulworthy, near Tavistock, surrounded by woodland and set beside the former Wheal Josiah copper mine, once the richest copper mine in Europe. Ceiling-high glazed bi-fold doors flood the sitting room with light, where a wood burning stove sits beside a dining area, and lime-rendered walls and oak floors run throughout.

The one double bedroom has a super king-size bed that can convert to a twin on request, and the bathroom has a roll-top bath, a separate shower, WC and basin, all on the ground floor. The kitchen has a microwave, fridge and dishwasher, and there's a TV with DVD and WiFi throughout, with underfloor heating backed by the wood burning stove. Fuel and power are included in the rent.

Outside, a private woodland garden has a table, chairs and a barbecue, plus a private 4-person hot tub. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and the Tamar Trails activity centre is around a 20-minute walk away, with the National Trust houses at Cotehele and Buckland Abbey both within reach.

This property is only suitable for couples: no babies or children are accepted. No pets are allowed and the cottage is no smoking. The water supply is private and is tested regularly.
