Birch Tor

Birch Tor is a single-storey pod tucked into the wooded grounds of Langstone Manor Holiday Park, close to Tavistock on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Traditional hedging around the pitch gives it a secluded feel. The wood-panelled, open-plan studio sleeps 2 around a double bed, dining area and sitting space, and is warmed by underfloor heating.

There's no en-suite bathroom: a cloakroom has a basin, heated towel rail and WC, and a communal shower block is a short walk away. A microwave and fridge cover simple meals, and a TV is provided for evenings in. Guests bring their own cutlery, crockery, cooking equipment, towels and tea towels, while bed linen, fuel and power are included in the rent.

Outside, the patio has furniture and a built-in barbecue for leisurely afternoons and evenings. Parking is on site, and WiFi is available at an extra cost. The holiday park has a restaurant in the manor house, a bar, a shop and a children's playground, plus fresh baguettes, croissants and pains au chocolat that can be ordered for next-day delivery.

No pets are allowed at Birch Tor and smoking is not permitted. The nearest shop is 3.1 miles away and the nearest pub 2.4 miles, with Tavistock itself a short drive further on.
