Rock Rose Cottage

Rock Rose Cottage sits in the village of Appledore, a short walk from the quayside, and sleeps six across three bedrooms: two doubles and one twin. The recently refurbished interior is spread across three floors, so the layout suits those comfortable with stairs. A small step leads up to the front door.

The main entrance opens into a dining room with a table for six, running through to an open-plan kitchen and living area. Floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors lead onto a Juliet balcony with estuary views. The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher, and the living area has Smart TVs, a DVD player, sound bar, Bluetooth speakers, board games and books.

A staircase descends from the living room to the lower ground floor, where the second double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with WC and French doors opening directly to the courtyard. The family bathroom, serving the upper bedrooms, has a shower over the bath and WC. A utility room on the lower floor houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. A stairgate, travel cot and highchair are all available for families with young children.

The enclosed rear courtyard has a raised decked area and garden furniture with estuary views; the boundary wall is low, so extra care is needed with young children near it. Parking is unallocated public parking in the vicinity rather than a dedicated space. Up to two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Pubs, the beach and a shop are within 0.2 miles, with arrival from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
