Rock Cottage - Kingston

Rock Cottage sits in the village of Kingston and sleeps four across two bedrooms: a king-size room and a bunk room, both reached by cottage-style stairs from the lounge. The family bathroom, with a bath and shower over, is also on the upper floor. Note that there are internal steps between ground-floor rooms, and four steps lead up to the front gate before two further steps to the front door, so the layout is worth considering if anyone in your group has limited mobility.

The beamed lounge has comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a wood burner with a first basket of logs supplied, useful in cooler months. A dining room adjoins the lounge, and the kitchen is well equipped for self-catering with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, making the cottage practical for families with young children. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.

Outside, a small enclosed front garden with outdoor furniture is the spot for a meal or a drink when the weather allows. Parking is on the street, subject to availability. A pub is around 350 metres away, and a shop is roughly 2 miles distant.

The nearest beach is about 1.5 miles away, and the secluded sandy cove at Ayrmer Cove is around 3 miles, where the South West Coast Path can also be picked up. Kingsbridge, ten miles away, is a market town with good shopping and places to eat.
