1 Gabberwell Cottages is an 18th-century cottage on the edge of Kingston, on the end of a terrace beside a quiet road, with countryside views from the garden. Stable doors lead from the small front garden into a snug sitting room built around a wood burning stove, and the property sleeps 4 across two upstairs bedrooms.

The two bedrooms, a super king-size that can convert to a twin and a further double, sit up an old staircase with some narrow treads. They share a family bathroom with a bath and shower over, and there is a separate WC on the ground floor. The kitchen has a glazed roof and doors onto the garden, plus a dining table for family meals.

The enclosed garden at the back is terraced, with three steps down from the patio to a lawn where guests can sit out on loungers or eat at the barbecue. A shed stores bikes and surfboards, and holds a set of golf clubs for the nearby Bigbury cliff-top course. A cot and highchair are available on request, and the kitchen is fitted with a washer-dryer, dishwasher, fridge and Smart TV, with WiFi throughout.

1 Gabberwell Cottages welcomes two well-behaved dogs, though pets are not permitted upstairs. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and the village pub is under a mile away. Smoking is not permitted, and fuel, power, wood for the stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.
