Pusehill Cottage

Pusehill Cottage is a stone barn conversion in the North Devon countryside near Bideford, close to Westward Ho and its sandy beach. Set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it sleeps three across two bedrooms: a double with countryside views and a second room with a single bed, served by a single shower room with WC.

Downstairs, the living room has a coal-effect electric fire and a stable door opening onto the courtyard garden. The kitchen is fitted with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, with a table for home-cooked meals. A TV and DVD player are provided, along with a welcome pack on arrival.

Outside, the enclosed patio garden has furniture and a BBQ for evenings outdoors, and guests also have shared use of an adjacent walled garden. Ample private parking is available on site. A pub lies around 0.2 miles away, a shop about a mile, and the beach roughly 1.4 miles from the cottage.

The area rewards exploration on foot: Northam Burrows Country Park and the South West Coast Path lead towards the fishing village of Clovelly, known for its donkeys, sledges and cobbled streets rather than cars. Appledore, with its pastel-coloured houses and maritime history, sits a short drive away, while Bideford, three miles off, offers a working harbour and essentials. Families may enjoy The BIG Sheep, The Milky Way adventure park, or the gardens at RHS Rosemoor further afield.

A highchair, travel cot and stair gate are available on request, making this a practical base for families with young children. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Check-in runs from 4pm, with departure required by 10am.
