Pitt Cottage

Pitt Cottage is an 18th century thatched property set on a narrow country lane in Branscombe, within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage has been refurbished while retaining original features including exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace, and sleeps up to 8 guests across three bedrooms.

Two bedrooms have double beds, while the third is a bunk room offering four bunk spaces for children. There is one family bathroom with a shower over bath and WC, plus a separate downstairs WC off the dining room and boot room. Ground-floor rooms have low, sloping ceilings, uneven flooring and restricted head height, with a split level on the ground floor.

The kitchen and dining room includes an Aga, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, with a washing machine in the outdoor boot room. The sitting room has a wood burner supplied with an initial basket of logs, and a Smart TV. A travel cot and highchair can be requested in advance for an additional fee.

Outside, the cottage faces its own enclosed garden with a spacious lawn, a decked patio area, outdoor seating and a gas BBQ. There is no private parking, though roadside parking can usually be found a short walk down the lane, and luggage can be unloaded outside the cottage. Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying. Internet access is provided, and a pub is within easy walking distance of the cottage.
