Pillhead Cart Linhay

Pillhead Cart Linhay is one of three barn conversions on a working sheep farm outside Bideford, reached via a couple of steps up into a light-filled sitting room. The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining area and sitting room, with the TV and a dining table for meals together.

The two bedrooms, a double and a twin, share a family bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washer-dryer and dishwasher, and central heating covers the cottage. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

An enclosed garden sits to the side of the cottage with views across the valley, and guests share access to the farm's outdoor pool, solar heated and paired with a smaller paddling pool, plus a sun terrace and orchard. Children must be supervised around the pool at all times, and it opens seasonally from spring through early September.

Off-road parking is provided for two cars, though electric vehicles cannot be charged on site. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, but are not permitted in the surrounding farm fields because of roaming livestock. Smoking is not allowed, and a housekeeping bond applies to the booking.
