Otters Leap

Otters Leap is a riverside holiday home on the outskirts of Bideford, Devon, within driving distance of a beach and Exmoor National Park. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor: a super-king-size room that can be made up as a twin on request, and a double with its own en-suite walk-in shower room, basin, heated towel rail and WC.

A further ground-floor bathroom has a bath, shower over, basin and heated towel rail. The kitchen/diner has a woodburning stove and bi-fold doors onto the patio, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, a fridge with an ice compartment, a washer/dryer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. Upstairs, a first-floor sitting room has a TV and table football for entertainment after a day out.

Outside, a front enclosed patio terrace has furniture for alfresco dining, a barbecue and a hot tub. Off-road parking covers two cars. Note the restricted head height in the sitting room, and that the gardener is on site every Friday. Bookings must begin on a Friday, which helps the owners manage changeovers smoothly.

Otters Leap welcomes two well-behaved pets and is no smoking throughout. A shop and pub are around 0.7 miles away, with the river just 0.1 miles from the door and a beach around 4 miles further on.
