Peace Cottage - Riverview

Peace Cottage stands directly on the Tamar River, with the Tamar Valley AONB stretching around it. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is centred on an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, while a separate utility cupboard houses the washing machine. A double-sided wood burner warms the space from November to end February, with the first basket of logs included and additional logs available to purchase from the owner. The king-size bedroom connects to this area and opens via sliding doors onto the private patio terrace, so river views are the first thing you see each morning.

The en-suite bathroom contains a bath, waterfall shower and WC. Sliding doors and wide windows throughout frame the Tamar panorama. Private off-road parking accommodates two cars, and electric vehicle charging is available on site at an extra charge.

A short flight of steps leads down from the patio to a private hot tub and sun loungers. The patio terrace itself is also accessible from the driveway and has outdoor seating and a BBQ. A shared heated indoor pool operates daily 9am to 6pm from 20 March to end of September, with an additional Wednesday evening slot from 5pm to 9pm; free private booking slots can be reserved each day. Swedish massage can be arranged directly with the owner during your stay.

Bere Alston is around 2 miles away with shops and pubs. The valley's walking routes pass through nationally designated landscape important for wildlife including avocets and little egrets. The property sleeps 2 guests; dogs are not permitted. Arrival from 16:00, departure before 10:00.
