Set on a quiet pedestrian lane just 100 metres from Brixham harbour, Paddle Cottage sleeps six across three floors of a characterful property with steep, cottage-style staircases and some points of restricted head height. The king-size room sits in the eaves on the second floor, reached by the steepest staircase, and has low sloping ceilings with Velux windows looking out over the harbour. A double room and a bunk bedroom occupy the first floor alongside a family bathroom with a shower over a Jacuzzi bath. A family shower room is on the lower ground floor.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area forms the social centre of the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and the dining table brings the group together comfortably. A separate snug lounge on the lower ground floor has a sofa, bean bags and a Smart TV, making it a practical second living space for families or those wanting a quieter corner. A utility area with washer/dryer connects the two levels and leads out to the enclosed courtyard garden, which has outdoor furniture for alfresco dining or a morning coffee.

One dog is welcome, though dogs are not permitted upstairs or on beds or furniture. A travel cot and highchair are available for families with young children. The property sits on a pedestrian-only lane: the nearest vehicle access is 30 metres downhill toward the harbour end of the high street, or 60 metres uphill. No private parking is provided; unallocated on-street parking in surrounding residential streets and nearby public car parks is the alternative, with local charges applying to the latter.

Brixham's working harbour, with its fish restaurants, pubs, cafes and galleries, is a two-minute walk from the front door. Breakwater Beach and Shoalstone Beach with its tidal pool are both within half a mile, and the South West Coast Path is accessible directly from the town for cliff-top walking.
