Owl Barn At The Retreat

Owl Barn At The Retreat is a two-storey barn conversion set within a small complex of properties near Higher Clovelly, close to Bideford in North Devon. It sleeps eight across four bedrooms, with two bedrooms on the ground floor and two upstairs, making it suited to a larger family group or two families sharing.

The ground floor holds a double bedroom and a double zip-and-link room that can be requested as 2'6" twins, plus a shower room with WC. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a four-poster bed and the second double can also be converted to twins on request. A separate family bathroom offers a hand-held shower over the bath and its own WC. The lounge has exposed stonework and a wood burner with logs included, opening through to a modern kitchen and dining room with a range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

Outside there is a decked area and patio/garden space with a private hot tub, outdoor seating and a charcoal barbecue. Dogs are welcome, up to three per booking with additional charges possible, and there is a shared dog exercising paddock for guests staying at the complex. Off-road parking is available on site, and internet access is provided.

The property sits within easy reach of a pub, shop and beach, each around two to three miles away. Practical points to note before booking include the shared complex setting, the zip-and-link beds that need requesting in advance if twins are preferred, and the arrival time of 14:30 with departure before 10:00.
