Laundry Cottage

Laundry Cottage stands on the Clovelly estate in the village of Clovelly, within reach of Higher Clovelly. The property comprises a main house and a separate annexe, together holding five bedrooms and three bathrooms plus a ground-floor cloakroom, and sleeps up to 9.

The main house has a king-size bedroom and a bathroom with a bath and hand-held shower, plus the downstairs cloakroom. A kitchen/diner sits alongside a sitting room warmed by a wood-burning stove and a library with a second wood-burning stove. The annexe adds four further bedrooms, including twin rooms, served by two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower, the other with a walk-in shower, and its own kitchen, useful for a larger group wanting separate space.

Outside, a walled garden sits behind the main house with a lawn and a bench, and further lawned areas run out towards the surrounding woodland; these open areas are not enclosed. Driveway parking is provided, and the main house kitchen has an electric range oven and gas hob, while the annexe kitchen has a two-ring electric hob and microwave. Both kitchens have a fridge, and the main house adds a washing machine and dishwasher. WiFi covers the property, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, though dogs are not allowed upstairs in either the main house or the annexe, and throws are provided for the sofas. A working farm with cows and horses sits next door, and pheasants are bred in the surrounding woods. Smoking is not permitted, single-night bookings aren't accepted, and the nearest shop is 3.2 miles away, with a pub 0.7 miles and a beach 0.9 miles from the cottage.
