Old Chapel

Old Chapel stands in a rural setting a mile from Higher Clovelly, a former chapel converted into a four-bedroom holiday house set within its own 10 acres of meadows where sheep graze. A minimum stay of 3 nights applies, and the property enjoys far-reaching views of the sea and Lundy Island.

The sitting room has vaulted ceilings and a stone fireplace built around a wood-burner, and a spiral staircase climbs from the hallway to a galleried snug overlooking it. The king-size double bedroom has an en-suite bath and shower plus its own balcony with sea views across the meadows and wildlife pond, and a twin bedroom has an en-suite shower. Two further bedrooms, a double and a twin, sit on the second floor and share a shower room, and there's also a ground-floor WC.

The kitchen has a breakfast area and a separate utility room, and the dining room seats the whole party for meals. Cooking is by double electric oven and five-ring hob, with a microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher also fitted, and three TVs with Freeview and WiFi cover the house. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, and fuel, power and a starter pack for the wood-burner are included in the rent.

Outside is a lawned garden and patio with furniture, with access to the private meadows and a wildlife pond for picnics and walks. Parking is ample and off-road. No pets are allowed and the house is no smoking throughout.
