Mayflower

Mayflower is a single-storey lodge on the 250-acre Roadford Lake Lodges site in Broadwoodwidger, with off-road parking for two cars right at the door. The open-plan living space combines a fitted kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a Smart TV.

The lodge sleeps 8 across four ground-floor bedrooms: a king-size room with its own Smart TV, a double master bedroom with a Smart TV and en-suite walk-in shower, a twin room and a bunk room. The three non-master bedrooms share a family bathroom with bath and shower over.

Outside, a hot tub has room for all eight guests, alongside a patio with rattan furniture and a barbecue stand for guests who bring their own disposable barbecue. Gas central heating, a gas range cooker, washing machine, dishwasher and wine cooler are all provided, and a highchair is available.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, and no smoking is permitted. Bookings must start on a Friday or Monday, Sunday check-ins are not accepted, and the lodge does not take stag, hen or similar parties. The lake near the lodge is a short walk away and can be seen through the trees from most windows, the pub is 0.1 miles from the lodge, and Dartmoor National Park is within easy reach by car, with historic sites including Foggintor Quarry and Cox Tor.
