Hornbeam Lodge - Roadford Lake

Hornbeam Lodge sits within a lakeside complex at Broadwoodwidger, near Launceston, with a woodland path leading directly to Roadford Lake roughly 100 metres away. The lodge sleeps six across three bedrooms: a king-size master with an en-suite shower room, a double, and a twin. A family bathroom with shower-over-bath serves the remaining two rooms. All three bedrooms have wall-mounted Smart TVs, and the lounge has a TV with soundbar.

The open-plan living space brings together the lounge, kitchen, and dining area. The kitchen runs to a range-style cooker with gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, wine cooler, dishwasher, and washer-dryer, so self-catering is well catered for. An outdoor dining table seats six on the south-facing patio, which runs the full length of the lodge and catches afternoon and evening sun.

A private hot tub sits on the partially enclosed patio alongside a BBQ stand designed for disposable BBQs, which guests bring themselves. Note that for short-notice next-day arrivals the hot tub may not be fully up to temperature by check-in. On site, a shared gym is available to guests at no extra cost, and there is a café at the lake. A shop and pub are around three miles away.

Private parking is provided for two cars. Two EV charging points are available on site near reception in designated spaces; charging is metered through the VendElectric app at the guest's own cost. Up to two dogs are welcome, though they must be kept on a lead throughout the site at all times, and the patio is only partially enclosed so dogs and children need supervision outside. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00.
