Honeysuckle Cottage

Honeysuckle Cottage is an 18th-century thatched cottage in the village of Smallridge, a short drive from Axminster. Cob walls and timber beams run through the ground floor, where a dual-aspect dining room, sitting room and kitchen make up the main living space. The cottage sleeps 7 across four bedrooms.

Upstairs, two double bedrooms have vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and views over the village, a third double looks out over the village too, and the fourth bedroom has a trundle bed that can become two singles on request, useful for children. Two bathrooms serve the four rooms, one with a bath and shower over and one with a walk-in shower.

The kitchen has a Rangemaster cooker with a gas hob and electric ovens, plus a microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, rice cooker and cafetiere. Gas central heating covers the cottage, though the fireplace in the sitting room is currently not in use, and WiFi is provided along with a selection of books.

The private garden has a patio and furniture for sitting out under the thatched eaves, and on-site parking is provided for 2 cars. The summer house in the garden is currently closed for maintenance. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not permitted. The pub is 0.1 miles away and the shop 1.2 miles, both within walking distance of the cottage.
