Holly Hock

Holly Hock is a three-bedroom stone cottage on a working farm near South Tawton, sleeping up to six guests across two king-size rooms and a twin. Three bathrooms serve the party: a ground-floor bathroom with shower over bath and WC, a first-floor family bathroom with freestanding bath and large walk-in shower, and an en-suite shower room off one of the king-size bedrooms.

The ground floor opens into an airy open-plan reception, dining and lounge area, with glass patio doors bringing in natural light. A stone inglenook fireplace houses the wood burner, with the first bag of logs included. An archway leads to a well-equipped kitchen with double electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. A utility cupboard holds a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs, exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling run along the landing and into the rooms above.

Outside, a private patio holds a dining area and a hot tub. Shared grounds include a play area with trampoline, swings, sandpit and trapeze, plus three fishing lakes on site. A Pilates studio and a beauty treatment room operate on the farm, with treatments bookable directly with the owner. Stabling for horses can be arranged in advance, and off-road parking for two cars is provided alongside bike storage.

The cottage accepts up to five dogs, though additional charges may apply. A highchair, travel cot and stairgates are available, making it practical for families with young children. A pub and shop are two miles away. Arrival is from 16:30 and departure before 09:30.
