Hobbs Cottage

Hobbs Cottage is a 19th-century workers' cottage in the village of Sticklepath, near South Tawton at the bottom of the wooded Skaigh Valley in Dartmoor National Park. It sleeps 4 across two king-size bedrooms upstairs, with a bathroom that has a bath, a shower over, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. The stairs are steep, and the cottage is not considered suitable for young children.

Downstairs, an open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining area and a sitting area built around a woodburning stove. The kitchen has a double electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher, and the dining table seats four. A Smart TV, WiFi, a selection of books and games are provided, and fuel, power, a woodburner starter pack, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.

Outside, an enclosed rear courtyard has furniture and a barbecue, an outdoor dog bath with hot and cold running water, and secure bicycle storage. Roadside parking is available on a first come, first served basis, with a free public car park nearby.

Hobbs Cottage welcomes up to 2 well-behaved dogs, and smoking is not permitted. The shop and pub are both around 0.1 miles away.
