Taw River View

Taw River View stands in the village of Sticklepath, on the northern edge of Dartmoor National Park and within reach of South Tawton. The cottage is attached to the owner's own property and sleeps 4 across a double and a twin bedroom, sharing a shower room with a walk-in double shower. It is not suitable for children under the age of 8.

Downstairs, the kitchen/diner leads into a sitting room built around a woodburning stove, with patio doors opening onto the garden. The garden itself is shared with the owners, wraps around the house on several levels, and is not enclosed, with direct access down to the river. The water can run fast after heavy rain, so care is needed with pets and children. There is a step to the exterior and further steps throughout the garden, worth knowing if anyone in your group has limited mobility.

The kitchen has a double electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, a countertop freezer and a washing machine, and the sitting room has a TV with Sky and WiFi. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the woodburning stove are included in the rent. A designated parking space for two cars sits on the shared driveway.

Taw River View welcomes one well-behaved dog, who must be kept on a lead outdoors, with scenic riverside walks close by. The property is strictly no smoking, and bookings are for holiday purposes only, not for work stays. The village shop and River Taw itself are about 0.1 miles away, and the pub is 0.2 miles.
