Hideaway

This cottage sits beside the quay in Appledore, a working waterside town at the meeting point of two rivers. The building sits close to the harbour and a local park, with a pub and shop both a short walk away, though there is no private outdoor space attached to the property itself.

The ground floor holds a utility room with washing machine, storage and a small freezer, alongside a bathroom with a large walk-in shower and WC, useful for rinsing off after a beach visit or a walk with the dogs. Upstairs, the open-plan living area has been refurbished with a beamed ceiling, exposed brick and a dining table that seats four comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction hob, electric oven, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. A Smart TV and Amazon Echo are provided in the lounge, and a flame-effect feature sits in the room for atmosphere, though there is no working fire.

Sleeping accommodation is on the first floor: one king-size bedroom and one twin room with zip-and-link beds that can be reconfigured into a super-king on request. A first-floor cloakroom with WC saves a trip downstairs during the night, though the only bathroom with a shower remains on the ground floor. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, making the property workable for families with young children despite the stairs between floors.

The cottage sleeps four in total and welcomes up to two dogs, with additional charges possibly applying. Parking is unallocated, on-street or in nearby public car parks rather than on site. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out before 10am. A welcome pack is provided on arrival.
