Harbour View, Lynmouth

A modern first-floor apartment in the centre of Lynmouth, Harbour View sleeps four across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The king-size room has its own en-suite shower room with WC, while the twin room shares a main bathroom that features a repurposed sewing machine vanity unit with shower over bath. Both bedrooms have televisions and ample storage.

The large open-plan living area brings together a top-of-the-range kitchen, comfortable sofas, a dining table with chairs and a TV. French doors open onto a roomy balcony fitted with wicker chairs and a shading roof, where waterside views can be enjoyed in the evening. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, and a Bluetooth sound system serves the main space. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger guests.

The apartment is reached via a flight of stairs, which is worth bearing in mind if mobility is a consideration. No dogs are permitted. Parking is not dedicated: roadside parking is unrestricted from 1 November to Good Friday, but outside those dates a permit must be purchased from the Exmoor National Park office in the Lynmouth Pavilion, the Lynton Tourist Information office, or via the Ringo App at location 236604. Short breaks are available November to March only; weekly bookings arrive and depart on Saturdays.

The beach, a pub and local shops are all within a few minutes on foot. The lower station of the water-powered funicular railway up to Lynton is close by, and the wooded gorges and waymarked walking routes of Exmoor National Park are accessible directly on foot.
