Gardeners Cottage

Gardener's Cottage sits within the grounds of Talaton House in Talaton, one of four cottages converted from the estate's former stables. The cottage opens at the rear into a chic open-plan living space, with glazed doors leading onto a private gravelled terrace that looks out over parkland. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms and one bathroom.

Upstairs, a king-size double has open parkland views, and a twin room holds two 2'6" beds that link into a 5' double on request, though the linked bed is reachable from one side only. Both rooms share a family bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC.

The open-plan kitchen and living area has a microwave, fridge, washer-dryer and dishwasher, plus a TV with Blu-ray and DVD, and WiFi. Electric panel heaters cover the cottage, with fuel and power included in the rent. A cot and highchair are available on request, and off-road parking is provided for two cars.

Gardener's Cottage takes two well-behaved dogs, with a fee charged for the second. Guests can also use the wider lawns and grounds shared with Talaton House and the neighbouring cottages, including a circular woodland walk, and a pub is under a mile away. Smoking is not permitted, the cottage accepts holiday bookings only, stays are capped at 14 nights unless arranged in advance, and a returnable bond applies.
