Fox Hat Cottage

Fox Hat Cottage is a thatched cottage reached via the Drang off the High Street in Chagford, just paces from the town square, with its independent shops, galleries and pubs on the doorstep. The staircase up to the two bedrooms is steep, so it's worth taking care, and a highchair is available for younger guests.

Both bedrooms hold super-king beds that can be arranged as twins on request; one has an en-suite shower, basin and WC. A separate bathroom serves the rest of the cottage with a bath, shower over, basin and WC. Downstairs, the sitting room has a woodburning stove alongside gas central heating, plus a Smart TV and WiFi for evenings in after a day out on the moor.

The kitchen/diner is fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, with crockery and cutlery for the dining table. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. The shop and pub are around 0.1 miles away, with a wider range of pubs and restaurants a short walk further into town.

Parking is in a public car park about 100 yards from the cottage; spaces directly outside are limited to a 2-hour stay, so plan ahead if you're unloading. One well-behaved pet is welcome, and smoking is not permitted anywhere in the cottage.
