Ash Cottage

Ash Cottage is a stone-built cottage on the rural outskirts of Chagford, within Dartmoor National Park. The cottage sleeps 4 across two bedrooms and one shower room, and bookings must start or end on a Saturday.

The sitting room is built around a woodburning stove, and the kitchen/diner has exposed wooden beams. Both bedrooms, a double and a twin, have vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, built-in wardrobes and countryside views. The ground-floor shower room has a walk-in shower, a heated towel rail and a basin, and a first-floor cloakroom adds a second WC.

The kitchen has an electric oven, a ceramic hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a Nespresso machine, alongside a Smart TV and WiFi. A highchair and a stairgate are both available on request. Central heating runs throughout the cottage, and electricity plus a starter pack for the woodburning stove are included in the rent, along with bed linen and towels.

Outside, an enclosed, level front garden has patio furniture, and steps lead up to an enclosed rear garden with a raised lawn, furniture and views towards Dartmoor and the surrounding country, so care is needed on the way up. Off-road parking is available. Ash Cottage does not take pets and does not permit smoking, and the shop is 0.6 miles away with the pub 0.5 miles.
