Dairy Cottage sits just off the main street in Chagford, around 300 yards from the shops, pubs and cafes on the town square. Sleeping 4, it has a stylish interior behind an unassuming street door.

An enclosed cobbled courtyard sits just inside the front door, a sun trap with a table for meals outside. French windows lead into the open-plan living space, with original beams, artwork and a smart TV with iPod dock. Oak stairs go up to two en-suite bedrooms: a king-size double with a bath, shower, WC and basin, and a twin room with a truckle bed and its own shower room.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, combi-microwave, fridge-freezer, an electric Aga and a washer-dryer, and there's WiFi and a phone line throughout. Underfloor and central heating cover the cottage, and a cot is available on request.

Parking is on the street or at a nearby car park rather than at the cottage itself. No pets are allowed and the property is no smoking. Chagford's tennis courts, a play park and a seasonal outdoor lido are all within walking distance, along with footpaths in every direction and a wide choice of pubs around the square for evening meals.
