Fishermans View

Fishermans View sits in a quieter, central part of Appledore, within walking distance of the village's shops, pubs and restaurants, and close to the water where the estuary's two rivers meet. It sleeps four across two bedrooms and suits couples or small families looking for a compact base near the coast.

Inside, a light lounge and dining area opens onto a well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The lounge has a wood burner, with a first basket of logs included between 1 October and 1 April, and a smart TV. Upstairs, reached by narrow, steep cottage stairs, the king-size bedroom has its own dressing area and views over the village, while a second staircase leads to the twin bedroom. The character of the building means the stairs may not suit those with mobility difficulties or very young children.

The bathroom, off the dressing area, has a freestanding bath set on a plinth, along with a separate shower and WC. Outside, a small enclosed courtyard has garden furniture, gate access and an outdoor tap, useful for rinsing off sandy feet or paws after the beach. Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying.

Parking is on the road subject to availability, with a long-stay car park nearby as an alternative. The beach is around two miles away, while a shop, pub and restaurant are within walking distance. Internet access is available throughout the cottage, and a travel cot and highchair can be provided on request.
