Farthing Cottage sits in Brixham, a working fishing town with a harbour, seafood restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops close by. The cottage is arranged over four floors and reached via a flight of steps from the harbour, in a traffic-free zone with no vehicle access to the door.

The ground floor holds the kitchen/diner, equipped with a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A flight of steep, cottage-style stairs leads up to the first-floor lounge, furnished with sofas, a TV, DVD player and an electric wood burner, opening onto a small private terrace with seating for two. Further stairs bring you to the twin bedroom and the property's single bathroom, which has a shower over the bath and a separate WC. The top floor holds the king-size master bedroom, which takes in panoramic views over Brixham, the harbour and out to sea, along with a small seating area.

This is a compact cottage suited to two couples or a small family, sleeping four across the two bedrooms, and the steep internal staircases mean it will not suit anyone with limited mobility. There is no car parking at the property itself; guests park on nearby residential streets subject to availability, or use the Oxen Cove pay-and-display car park. Wifi is available throughout, and one dog is welcome by arrangement, with an additional charge applying.

Beaches, shops and pubs are within about a mile, and the South West Coast Path runs along the cliff tops nearby for walkers. With its terrace and sea views over the harbour, the cottage makes a practical base for exploring Brixham on foot rather than by car.
