Fairview

Fairview is a three-storey townhouse on the outskirts of Dartmouth, Devon, with the town centre roughly a mile away and views over the River Dart. It sleeps seven across four bedrooms and suits a family or group of friends wanting easy access to the town while keeping some distance from the centre.

The ground floor has an open lounge with leather sofas and oak flooring, a kitchen with a glass-topped dining table seating six, and a wet room with WC. Upstairs on the first floor are two double bedrooms and one single, sharing a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and separate WC. A wooden staircase continues to a third-floor attic room with twin beds, roof windows and a desk, though this level has low, sloping ceilings with reduced head height. The stairs up to this twin room have alternating treads and are not suitable for very small children unsupervised, and young children should also be supervised on the steep third-floor stairs and in the garden.

Outside, an enclosed lawn garden is arranged over three terraces at the rear, linked by steps, with a further small terrace at the front. A built-in BBQ and patio table make the rear terrace a natural spot for outdoor meals. A wood burner in the lounge adds a practical option for cooler evenings.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, and a highchair and travel cot are provided for younger guests. Private parking is available for one medium-sized car, and a shop and pub are around half a mile away. Fairview does not accept dogs, and internet access is provided on site.
